There will be a special Zoom mandatory meeting of everyone who has a garden plot at Dwyer.. The meeting will introduce you to the people who help run the Edison Community Garden Initiative, go over the rules, and ask for voluteers for the various roles at the garden. These will include:

  • Shed Maintenance: Keeping the shed organized and clean.

  • Water and Hose Maintenance: making sure the hoses are in good condition and put away.

  • Compost Bin Maintenance: Make sure the compost bin is filled correctly, and harvest the compost when it is done.

  • Workshops: Helping organize workships and other activitiess.

  • Raised Bed Gardeners: Maintaining the raised public beds

  • Special Project Coordinator: This is for overseeing things like Boy Scout Eagle projects and school projects. You aren’t expected to do the work, but make sure the students and scouts you’re overseeing are doing the work they promised.

  • Ad Hoc Volunteers: People willing to step up for various projects and help out the other volunteers.

  • Weed Patrol: Come to the garden on a weekly basis to weed inside the perimeter of the garden.

  • Weed Patrol Leaders: Able to coordinate a group of gardeners, on a rotating basis, to come in and weed the inside perimeter weekly
