Massive Cleanup of Swales Park Highly Successful

Today, more than two dozen volunteers braved the cold and the wind to help with our cleanup of Swales Park. Over 20 full garbage bags will filled up with about 600 gallons of refuge. The clean up took place from 1:00pm to 4:00pm today. This included the field where the gardens will go (which included bottle caps, tent stakes, empty cobs of corn, and occasional cigarette butts), the other fields where Edison plans to make this a neighborhood center, and the ravine areas where tires, and other large items hid for years.

This week, Edison plans to start their construction of the gardens and other park improvements.
