Spring Mandatory Meeting

Welcome to Spring Planting Season 2023!  Thank you to the volunteers who came out to help clean up the garden on March 19. The perimeter of the garden and the outside areas look fabulous thanks to all the help we had. 

Please refer to your Rules and Regulation which are on our webpage:  “All gardeners must attend spring and fall meetings. At the spring meeting, gardeners will be allotted their raised bed and sign up for Volunteer Work Groups. Each gardener must serve on a minimum of one work group to support the community and ongoing maintenance of the Edison Community Garden. Gardeners must volunteer a total of 12 hours over the course of the growing season. Edison Community Garden Initiative Committee (ECGI) will announce volunteer needs…”

In case of inclement weather we will meet at St. James Church Hall  right across from the garden.

We have some exciting news to share and hope to see you all there!

Please feel free to join us for a free soil prep workshop by a Rutgers master gardener, Shyamala Sharma after the meeting@ 2pm. Also feel free to email Shyamala at ssharmamg@yahoo.com for any gardening questions about soil or fertilizers.The workshop will be about an hour long at the garden, but in  case of rain, it will be in St James Church Hall.

This season will be wonderful because we can start on time and hopefully your gardens will flourish longer this year!
