The Security Fence is Going Up

Last week, we emailed you with the sad news that due to building supplies issues, the construction of the garden was taking way longer than anyone wanted.

This week, we have some good news. As of last week, the construction of the security fence has started. This was a major roadblock for us. Without a security fence, work on things like the plumbing fixtures and wooden beds could not continue. Without some means of protection, they could walk away from the site.

With the installation of the fence, work on the beds and other aspects of the garden can continue. We don’t want to mention a particular timeline. We don’t want to cause further disappointments if these deadlines for some reason cannot be met. However, we have been told before that once the fence is installed, work on the garden will continue at a fairly rapid pace.

What we will promise you is that we will continue to update you what is going on as soon as we have information. We will continue monitoring the progress of the garden and keep you informed.

Thank you for your patience. We assure you that this community garden will be built and completed even if it’s not at the timeline we originally envisioned. You’ll will walk by one day and see all of the beds filled with flowers and vegetables growing tall and helping us build our community.
